Starting isn't always easy

As a creative person, I often find myself swimming in more ideas than time. I think about all the things I'd like to do in a day and sadly remember the limiations of time for my adult body.
The 20 year old me could do it all. She lived off of Red Bull and Coffee with less than 3 hours of sleep a night. The 40+ year old me...not so much.
That's why I've had to become very intentional with what I do and how I do it. Hence me being the spokeswoman of "late to the game" with this blog. It's not that I haven't had things to say or topics I want to share.
Mostly it's been TIME or the mindset that there wasn't enough of it. Don't get me wrong, I'm not secretly reliving moments of my day to give a little edge. I'm just creating special pockets of time to do more of what I love and what loves me back.
So while it isn't always easy, it is 100% worth it and just to share a glimpse of my life as a photographer who is also a single mom, a fully employed Executive Assistant, and dance fitness lover, here's a selfie of me working where I normally don't....my room just so I can get caught up on the things I've been missing out on during my quiet time (ie editing galleries, working on my website, and planning for the months to come).
Remember you can do the hard things. Just do them with kindness to others and grace for yourself. Can't wait to see you in front of my camera!

XOXO,
Deme
